Circle to Search is upgrading with a new Music Search feature on Samsung Galaxy. Google has been working on the ability to search for music nearby or on-device. It seems the rollout has begun, starting with Samsung’s Galaxy lineup.

Debuted with the S24 series, Circle to Search is a result of close collaboration between Samsung and Google. Both companies have expanded the function to various Galaxy and Pixel handsets, with optimization for other OEMs underway.

Following the debut, Circle to Search became a fan-favorite feature. Its ease of accessibility helps it stand apart from the competition. Just trigger the functionality and draw a free-hand circle to search for anything you’re viewing on the screen.

It seems Google is silently upgrading Circle to Search with a new Music Search ability. A Samsung Galaxy user recently showcased the availability of this new feature. Google App’s version 15.32.37.28 reportedly brought Music Search.

The new Music button joined the Translation button in Circle to Search. Once tapped, the magic of artificial intelligence will start and Music Search will try to identify the music. Notably, it will not only work on your device’s music but also for nearby audio.

As it’s a server-side rollout, having the latest version of Google App will increase the chance of availability. It’s a sequential distribution, which depends on model and carrier, so don’t panic if it hasn’t yet appeared on your Samsung phone.

Samsung is expanding Circle to Search to its mid-range portfolio. The company has recently announced that the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A34 will be getting it this month. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series will get it by the next month.
