Samsung boosts Galaxy S23 FE security with August 2024 update

Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone, which installs the latest Android security patch released in August 2024 to improve system security. The update is rolling out for users in Korea and the company will expand it soon.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphone can verify the August 2024 security update through One UI build version S711NKSS3BXGJ in Korea.

The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some hours or days to reach to reach all models. Samsung advises users to check and install the update to enjoy enhanced features.

To access the latest update on your smartphone, go to the Settings app, tap on Software Update, and then select Download and Install. This will initiate the update process, and once completed, you’ll enjoy a more personalized and efficient smartphone experience.

Ahead of installing the update, here’s what’s new it brings. As per the official details, it fixes over 45 security issues, including 1 critical and 34 high-level vulnerabilities from Google. Notably, 1 CVE was previously resolved in earlier updates, and 2 CVEs are not applicable to Galaxy devices.

Moreover, the update contains fixes for 14 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) specific to Samsung devices and apps. This includes improvements to system services, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and other related components.

Notably, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE  smartphone is running on Android 14-based One UI 6.1. This smartphone is also eligible for the One UI 6.1.1 update along with other Galaxy S series flagships.
