Samsung has no plan to bring a larger battery in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Battery capacity leaked in the past is now almost confirmed by a crucial certification site. It seems a battery upgrade is reserved for the next year’s flagship smartphone.

91mobiles spotted the battery of the Galaxy S25 Ultra on China’s 3C database. The evidence suggests that the device will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery. The S25 Ultra is listed with a 4885mAh battery, which Samsung will market as 5000mAh.

Previously, the battery and charging support of the next Ultra is said to be the same as S24 Ultra. It means, the flagship will support 45W fast charging. The S25 Plus could also get the same treatment but we hope its expansion to the vanilla variant.

While Samsung is rumored to bring major changes, the battery segment remains unchanged. Most of the smartphone makers opted for batteries larger than 5000mAh. However, Samsung is sticking to 5000mAh despite increased load of SoC and AI processing.

Larger battery doesn’t always guarantee longer backup. If the software has bugs, 6000mAh battery could feel like 4000mAh or even lesser. That said, Samsung doesn’t require to bring a larger cell as consumers deserve practical change, not on paper.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 uses new Oryon central processing unit. It will be manufactured by TSMC on cutting-edge 3nm process node. This significant change will also result in boosted performance as well as enhanced power efficiency.

In terms of GPU, the S23 Ultra outpaced iPhone 15 Pro Max. This year, Qualcomm and Samsung have an opportunity to surpass Apple in performance. Therefore, all eyes are on the Oryon CPU that is said to offer major performance increment.
