Samsung Galaxy S21 FE users are getting a fresh update with the August 2024 security patch, starting in Vietnam. This update includes new features and important security enhancements to provide a next-level experience.

The update adds the Circle to Search feature of Google. This tool lets you search for information directly from your screen without switching apps. It improves the process of collecting information and enhancing overall usability.

To use it, simply touch and hold the Home button or navigation handle, then draw a circle around anything you want to learn more about. This action will start a Google search for that thing/item, making it easier to find information quickly.

Moreover, the update also enhances device security by fixing several vulnerabilities. It brings various improvements to protect your phone, including bug fixes and performance upgrades.

Notably, Google addresses 1 critical, 34 high-level vulnerabilities in Android with the August 2024 patch, although 2 are irrelevant to Galaxy devices. Also, Samsung has fixed 14 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to strengthen device security further. These vulnerabilities mainly impact components such as system service, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and more.

August 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy S21 FE smartphone arrives with One UI build version G990EXXUAFXG6. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get Software update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
