Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could be slightly larger and different from its predecessor. The company could unveil new flagship smartphones in January 2025. Today, a Samsung insider posted a mockup image comparing changes in appearance.

An image posted by leaker IceUniverse showcases a slight shift in dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra over the S24 Ultra. The smartphone is rumored to have slightly rounded corners, which are shown as angular in the mockup.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra could be slightly taller and wider than the S24 Ultra. The former could be 77.6mm wide compared to 79mm of the latter. Despite the width of the S25 Ultra being reduced, the screen’s width seemingly increased by 0.7mm.

The leaked difference in the flagship’s width seems minimal but could impact the device’s overall feel and ergonomics. Consumers will have more usable space on the screen area, while fewer angular corners will enhance handling.

This dimensional shift aimed at reduced bezels around the screen. As a result, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could offer a larger screen area within the same overall footprint. It will also differentiate the next Ultra from the last three models in terms of appearance.

Recent rumors created a lot of hype among consumers, leading them to anticipate a radical design shift. Being the smartphone market leader, Samsung might not bring a massive design change to its flagship, but significant refinements for sure.

Apart from this, the camera department is expected to see a major upgrade. The phone could feature a 50-megapixel ultrawide and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto. The other two rear cameras, plus the front camera will be the same as S24 Ultra.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is another notable upgrade in Samsung’s 2025 flagships. The chipset will pack Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU, offering a sharp performance boost. It could help the Galaxy S25 Ultra to fade the iPhone’s supremacy in CPU performance.
