Samsung unlocks Galaxy Watch’s Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification feature in India
Samsung Galaxy Watch gains support for Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification feature in India. The company has opened access for all Galaxy Watch 4 and above model users, just ensure updating Health and Health Monitor apps.
The Korean tech giant launched the IHRN feature on the Samsung Health Monitor app in June last year. It was announced that the IHRN function will gradually expand to more markets and it took over a year to be accessible in the Indian market.
Samsung Galaxy Watch’s advanced Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification feature added to existing ECG and Blood Pressure monitoring functionality to help users track abnormal heart rhythms and gain deeper heart health insights, now in India too.
Combined with the Health Monitor app’s BP and ECG monitoring, the IHRN feature detects heart rhythms suggestive of AFib (atrial fibrillation), in order to help Galaxy Watch users understand their heart health more comprehensively.

Samsung says its IHRN feature checks for irregular heart rhythms in the background and warns the user of potential AFib activity. Now, Galaxy smartwatch users can gain even deeper insights into their cardiovascular health.
The company has recently launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7. The smartwatches come pre-installed with the One UI 6 Watch, powered by Wear OS. However, the IHRN feature debuted with One UI 5 Watch last year.
Samsung is on the verge of pushing the brand new Wear OS 5 upgrade to Galaxy Watch 4, 5 and 6. The new operating system will come on top of One UI 6 Watch, which is under Beta testing in the United States and South Korea.
