One UI 7.1 in the works: Here’s when Samsung could release

Are you waiting for One UI 6.1.1 or One UI 7 Beta? Samsung is set to release these updates soon for Galaxy devices. In addition, Samsung has reportedly started developing next year’s One UI iteration – One UI 7.1. This version will be introduced with the Galaxy S25 series.

According to the information via tipster @theonecid, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra phone has been spotted with One UI 7.1 firmware on the testing server. It can be identified through firmware S938USQU0AXH4. The testing is going on for locked models of the Galaxy S25 series in the US.

This firmware indicates that Samsung is developing its year 2025 software update, One UI 7.1. However, the One UI 6.1.1 rollout and One UI 7 Beta update are still pending for its Galaxy devices.

One UI 7.1 update will arrive with the new Galaxy S25 series early next year, and the first version of this update has already been spotted. It will be based on Android 15 and will bring new features powered by advanced AI technology.

Samsung usually adds new and improved features with its One UI x.1 updates, and One UI 7.1 will likely continue this trend. This update is also expected to add additional features while One UI 7 focuses on animation and system fluency.

Like other One UI x.1, One UI 7.1 is expected to debut in January 2025. Its rollout to expected to start for other models in February 2025. It will bring a new feature, mainly based on Galaxy AI.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series 

The Galaxy S25 series will include three models Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. These models will use the latest processors either the Exynos 2500 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

In terms of design, all models in the Galaxy S25 series are expected to have rounded corners. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will offer an impressive camera setup, reportedly including a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and two 50MP telephoto cameras for zooming.
