Samsung Galaxy Ring is an expensive yet single-use device. Being the company’s first-of-its-kind product, the Galaxy Ring is gaining a stunning response. However, it comes with a fatal flaw that could be a disaster for you in the future.

Recently, iFixit performed a teardown of the recently released Galaxy Ring. The teardown result makes it clear that the Ring is not repairable at any cost. If it breaks down or the battery dies, you will have no other option than trashing it.

iFixit also published a CT scan image of the Galaxy Ring, showcasing internal components. Nevertheless, taking the Galaxy Ring apart involves melting the epoxy resin coating on the inside and chipping it away with a pick.

Samsung fixed the multitude of components inside the Ring’s slender frame. This is the main reason that ends all kinds of possibilities of repairs in case of damage or defect. Everything is sealed and made so that you cannot perform any repairs.

Nordic Semiconductor nRF5340 system on a chip powers the Galaxy Ring. It features 2x Arm Cortex-M33 cores with 512 KB RAM, and 1 MB storage. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 and there’s a tiny wireless charging coil and a battery pack next to it.
