Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6 get August 2024 update with enhanced camera function

Samsung is enhancing the security and functionality of its latest foldable devices with a new update. The company is releasing the August 2024 update for Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 smartphones. This update improves the overall user experience by addressing issues and improving functionality.

The fresh update applies the latest stabilization code to call and sound behavior. Users have reported occasional issues with call stability and audio quality. Samsung has now fixed them by applying the latest code to ensure smoother and more reliable performance during calls.

Moreover, Samsung has made notable improvements to the camera system. The shooting recognition for the palm extension function has been upgraded for better recognition and more accurate photo capture when using hand gestures.

Aside from this, the update includes an August 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. It fixes over 45 vulnerabilities from Google and Samsung. These are mainly related to system service, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and more.

August 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 smartphones can be verified through F741NKSU1AXH7 and F956NKSU1AXH7 respectively. The update is currently rolling out in Korea and will soon be available in more countries.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
