Samsung has updated a bunch of Galaxy devices to the latest security patch and is working regularly to make it available for all models. A new report reveals that the company will release the August 2024 security update to 7 popular Samsung Galaxy devices in Canada soon.

According to Fido’s updated schedule, Samsung will rollout the August 2024 security update to 7 Galaxy devices in Canada on 27 August 2024. These 7 devices are Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A54, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

However, these devices already started receiving the latest Android security patch in other countries. The company will soon expand updates for these devices to the remaining countries.

Notably, the August 2024 security patch addresses over 45 issues to make the device more secure, reliable, and stable. It includes critical fixes from Google for vulnerabilities in Android to enhance security for Galaxy devices against potential threats.

Additionally, Samsung has resolved 14 vulnerabilities, improving system services, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and more. It protects from possible bugs and viruses to ensure the smartphones operate smoothly. Once the update is available, you can download it through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.

Aside from this, Samsung has reportedly started developing Android 15-based One UI 7.1 software for the Galaxy S25 series. One UI 7.1 update is expected to be introduced in early January 2025 and its rollout will be started around February 2025.
