Samsung users are eagerly waiting for the One UI 7.0 (Android 15) Beta to kick off. Recently, leaker SamsonSirJi/X citing internal sources revealed key details. The input consists of the current stage of development, rollout strategy, key improvements, and more.

Phased Rollout Strategy:

The leaker fakes recent rumors floated online claiming Beta launch for all recent flagships. Rather, the company seems to follow the same strategy following its tradition. The Galaxy S24 series will be invited to the One UI 7.0 Beta Program.

This strategy would benefit in many ways including resource allocation, performance optimization, quality assurance, and streamlined feedback. After a few Beta(s) to the S24 series, the expansion to older models will take place.

Performance Enhancements:

Following the demand, One UI developers are working hard on OS smoothness. This aspect includes animation improvements, offering buttery transitions and fluency. However, the overall upgrade will be reflected in the Stable version only.

One UI 7.0 update is said to offer smoother app launches, menu interactions, and overall navigation within the OS. This way, the overall Galaxy experience will be leveled up, thanks to reduced functional lags or stutters.

Anticipated Bugs and Battery Life:

Samsung is closely working to fix each major and minor bug within the Alpha testing phase. The Beta would surely include minor bugs due to its presence in a broad audience, however, these issues will be easier to address during the Program.

Excessive battery drain problem is likely in the initial Beta firmware. This is due to the state of software alongside incompatibility with apps and services. Well, it shouldn’t be a major issue to you, or else wait for at least two Beta releases.

Beta Program Insights:

Samsung is looking forward to kickstarting a harmonious Beta Program for Galaxies. The primary goal remains to identify and squash bugs across the OS. User feedback is quite necessary for seamless and speedy development of the software.

The Korean tech giant will officially introduce One UI 7 on October 3rd, 2024. The Beta activity is expected to start in September this year. For general users, the company will soon push new Galaxy AI features debuted with Z Fold/Flip 6.

James is the lead content creator on Sammy Fans and mostly works on Samsung's firmware section. His first phone was the Galaxy S4 and continues to get new S series devices. Most of the time, James tries to learn about new technologies and gadgets but he also sneaks a bit of free time to nearby rivers and nature.
