Google silently revealed the Android 15 release amid One UI 7 Beta anticipation. Samsung smartphone users are eagerly waiting for the new OS. The Beta Program has not been launched for the S24 series in the expected August timeframe.

Android 15 is still under development, with Google is working on stability improvements. One UI 7 Beta release delay isn’t only because of Samsung. It’s Google that still has to work on the new operating system after four major Betas.

Google is unlikely to push the Public Android 15 update in September this year. It’s still working to improve the stability of the new OS, with rollout starting in October. It could begin in the middle of October for all eligible Pixel phones.

Mishaal Rahman of AndroidAuthority discovered updated release notes for the Android Beta Exit update. The page on Pixel phones running Beta firmware clearly suggests that the Stable Android 15 will be available in October.

Users who are waiting for the Android 15 stable update should “ignore [the downgrade] OTA until Android 15 is available in October.” The news was already spread online, but Google declined to confirm the reliability and authenticity.

Google plans to roll out the Android 15 stable update for Pixel 6 series, Pixel 7 series, Pixel 8 series, and Pixel 9 series. More eligible devices are the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, Pixel 8a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Samsung, on the flip side, working to push the One UI 6.1.1 update. It will be available on select devices, bringing new Galaxy AI features. Android 15-based One UI 7 Beta is expected to be rolled out for the Galaxy S24 series next month.
