Circle to Search feature, August 2024 update now available for Galaxy A55 in Brazil

Samsung has kicked off the August 2024 security update for the Galaxy A55 smartphone in Brazil. The new update is already available in Asian countries and the company will expand soon in more countries.

The fresh update includes an August 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. In addition, it also brings the Circle to Search feature of Google for a quicker search experience.

August 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone arrives with One UI build version A556EXXU4AXH2 in Brazil. Users will have to download a big-size package of around 900MB to install the update.

Circle to Search

With the Circle to Search feature, you can quickly search for anything on your screen without having to switch apps. Just touch and hold the Home button or navigation handle, then draw a circle around what you want to search. This action will start a Google search directly from your screen.

August 2024 Security Patch Details 

Google addresses 1 critical, 34 high-level vulnerabilities in Android with the August 2024 patch, although 2 are irrelevant to Galaxy devices. In addition, Samsung has fixed 14 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to strengthen device security further. These vulnerabilities mainly impact components such as system service, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and more

How to Update:

To check the update, you just need to navigate to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now to get enhanced features. The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.
