We are in August 2024 and Samsung My Files app has just received a new update with version 15.0.05.53 for Android 14 devices. This update brings new features to enhance user experience and improve file management efficiency.

The fresh update improved search functionality within internal storage. Users can now add or delete Favorites directly while navigating the folder route. This feature enhances the process of organizing and accessing frequently used files for a more intuitive and quicker workflow.

In addition, the update enhances security for file compression as you can now set a password. This feature is mainly useful for protecting sensitive or personal information, as it ensures that compressed files can only be accessed by those who know the password. Also, files compressed with passwords can be unzipped seamlessly.

Furthermore, the update also improves the “Analyze Storage” tool. Users can now view detailed information on how much storage is being used by file type on cloud services like OneDrive and Google Drive.

Overall, the Samsung My Files August 2024 update boosts functionality with its new features. The ability to manage Favorites more efficiently, secure compressed files with passwords, and analyze cloud storage usage provides users with a more secure and user-friendly file management experience.

You can install the update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. Also, you can download the update from the third-party app link mentioned here.
