Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE could not lack S Pen support. The company is preparing to unveil a slimmer and lightweight variant of the Z Fold 6. It is said to ditch digitizers for the reduction in thickness, but without killing stylus input.

Tipster IceUniverse claims that S Pen support is still available in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE. The company has not used a digitizer on the foldable screen panel to reduce thickness. It’s the component responsible for stylus input on previous Fold models.

It appears like the Korean tech giant may have developed a foldable panel without a digitizer. It is capable of supporting input from S Pen (Galaxy stylus). Despite the S Pen support, a dedicated storage compartment is unlikely in the Fold SE.

Previously, it was understood that the smartphone won’t feature S Pen input. The reason was the removal of the digitizer component. It comes as an exciting input that the stylus will still be supported, suggesting an innovative breakthrough.

With the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung introduced many new AI features. S Pen plays a key role in utilizing those features derived from artificial intelligence. That said, the company is indeed bringing the stylus input functionality with SE.

Recently, it was revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition could get a 200-megapixel camera. The phone is said to be 10.6mm thick when folded and 4.9mm in unfolded state, even after supporting the S Pen and digitizer panel.
