Samsung Galaxy M34 receives August 2024 security update

Samsung has pushed a new software update for the Galaxy M34 smartphone, which installs the August 2024 Android security patch to improve system security and stability. The update is available for international variants and the company will expand it soon.

The latest update brings security improvement, stability optimization, bug fixes, and functional enhancements to provide a better Galaxy performance. However, the update does not include any new features or changes.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy M34 can verify the August 2024 security update through One UI build version M346BXXS5CXH1. The installation package size of this update is around 320MB. The Korean Tech giant is regularly working to make this update available to all M34 models.

August 2024 Security Patch 

The latest update contains the Security Maintenance Release (SMR), combining patches from Google and Samsung. Google addresses 1 critical, 34 high-level vulnerabilities in Android, although 2 are irrelevant to Galaxy devices.

Samsung has also addressed 14 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to strengthen device security further. These vulnerabilities mainly impact components such as system service, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and more.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
