It’s official: Here’s when Galaxy S24 will get One UI 6.1.1/Galaxy AI in the US, Europe

Samsung pushed the One UI 6.1.1 update to the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea. Samsung announced the One UI 6.1.1 features will land on Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra on September 9 in the US and Europe.

According to Samsung, One UI 6.1.1 with new Galaxy AI features coming to the Galaxy S24 series in the US and Europe on September 9. It’s a pretty big development as the company is all set to bombard new features on Galaxies next Monday.

The Korean tech giant, through footnotes, confirmed that the One UI 6.1.1 will be displayed as One UI 6.1 for non-foldable and tablet devices. Simply put, the One UI version won’t bump to One UI 6.1.1 but the features and enhancements will be added.

“The software update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will begin rolling out in Korea on September 5, followed by North America and Europe on September 9. – Samsung Newsroom”

With the latest advanced features across communication, productivity and creativity, the updated Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 will elevate every mobile experience for users to deliver greater intelligence and convenience.

Apart from the Galaxy S24 series, the One UI 6.1.1 comes to Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5, and Tab S9 series. Unfortunately, the Galaxy S22 series isn’t mentioned in the press release which also supports Galaxy AI.

The installation package size of this update is around 2.8GB. In addition to several features, it enhanced security with the August 2024 security patch.

Galaxy S25 Ultra: Samsung’s next masterpiece in new renders!

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is coming early next year. The smartphone could introduce a revamped design, a sharp difference from the previous models. The possible design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra has been showcased in a series of new renders.

Renders display the Galaxy S25 Ultra in Titanium Gold. The imagery by TechnizoConcept is based on CAD renders published by Onleaks and details shared by IceUniverse. Simply put, new renders are in HD with a new colorway of redesigned image leak.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will have the thinnest symmetrical bezels in Samsung’s history. This aspect will be even better than Apple’s most premium iPhone 16 Pro Max. The company has also worked on the middle frame to make it lightweight.

The flagship is said to have a quite thin middle frame, that won’t radically expand outside the frame. This design change aimed at making the phone lighter and more handly without altering aspects such as screen or frame.

It was rumored that the phone lacks an S Pen slot in CAD renders. However, Onleaks later clarified that the frame boasts S Pen silo. The device with the matching color of the phone accompanied in the renders, continuing the Note legacy.

The frame seems flat, similar to Apple’s iPhone models. Google also replicated the frame approach in its Pixel 9 series. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also seemingly getting a flat frame design, making it more handy to carry and use for longer.

Rumors suggest the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be Samsung’s finest creation yet. While renders display significantly refined design, the hardware aspect is also boosted. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 could be able to beat Apple iPhone 16 Pro’s A18 Pro chip.
