Samsung Galaxy S22 seems ineligible for the One UI 6.1.1 update. The company yesterday announced the expansion of the new OS to older Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S24 started getting it, while the S23 series will join the party on September 12.

Korean community moderator revealed One UI 6.1.1 camera and gallery features for the Galaxy S22 series. While the entire suite of Galaxy AI isn’t confirmed, for now, consumers will be getting pretty much content from Samsung’s book.

Galaxy S22 series will get enhanced Live effects, Motion Clipper, Portrait Studio, Sketch to Image, and Overlay Translation. These are the features that will also be available on Galaxy flagships launched in 2023 and 2024.

One UI 6.1.1 features arriving on S22 series

1) Live effects: You can enjoy photos with people and animals in them in three dimensions.

2) Motion Clipper: You can create moving stickers and GIFs by long-pressing on a Motion Photo to select it.

3) Portrait studio: You can save your photos by selecting from a variety of styles through AI generation.

4) Sketch to Image: You can add a sketch drawn on top of your photo by creating an image.

5) Overlay Translation: The company provides natural translation results by maintaining the text and background color of the original image and improving readability by overlaying it on the image.

It’s worth noting that the Korean tech giant hasn’t announced the release date for the S22 series. However, the new features will likely be distributed as part of the September 2024 update rollout for eligible models sequentially.
