Samsung Galaxy A55 blessed with September 2024 security update

Samsung has released the September 2024 security update for the Galaxy A55 5G smartphone. The update improves system security and stability to provide a better Galaxy experience.

September 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy A55 arrives with version A556BXXS4AXH4 and an installation package size of 232.11MB. The update is currently live in Europe and the company will expand it in more countries soon.

The fresh update improves performance by fixing a bunch of security issues. It fixes 1 critical and 43 high-level security issues. It’s worth noting that 1 CVE was fixed in earlier updates and 1 does not affect Galaxy devices.

Along with Google’s fixes, Samsung is adding 23 of its own security improvements to enhance the user experience. These vulnerabilities are related to My Files, Theme Center, One UI Home, Knox, and Dex.

With this update, Samsung aims to provide a better Galaxy experience by fixing issues and enhancing features. It is an initial rollout, so reaching all eligible modes may take time.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.

Last month, Samsung brought the Circle to Search feature to the Galaxy A55 smartphone with an August 2024 security patch. Circle to Search feature lets you can quickly search for anything on your screen without having to switch apps. Just touch and hold the Home button or navigation handle, then draw a circle around what you want to search.
