With Emergency SOS via satellite, if an Apple user cannot reach emergency services because no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage is available, an easy-to-use interface appears on the iPhone to get the user help utilizing a satellite connection.

Starting with iPhone 14, the US tech giant brought Satellite SOS to new iPhone models including the iPhone 16. Samsung was facing criticism over neglecting such a feature that become a basic functionality in flagship phones nowadays.

45W wired charging:

Samsung’s 45W charging tech will continue to debut in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The company is not considering to boost the charging speed on its next flagship. It shows the commitment to offer a reliable experience without thinking about the race of Watts.

Samsung Galaxy S25

Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus existence confirmed in a new battery leak. The company will likely fuel the S25 Plus with the same battery as its predecessor. Is 4900mAh enough in 2025 when rival brands considering 5500mAh and beyond?

The Galaxy S25 Plus could be equipped with a 4900mAh battery. GalaxyClub reports that the S25+’s battery will have a rated capacity of 4,755mAh. It suggests that no battery upgrade in this year’s Plus model, unlike the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 lineup in January 2025. Since the battery upgrade isn’t likely, the efficiency is expected to be improved. This year’s flagship models will use a 3nm-based chipset, compared to the 4nm of the S24 series.

This generational change is massive, as the smaller chip size will result in increased battery life. That said, the same 4900mAh battery is quite promising – paired with optimized software, it will marginally boost the performance.

While Chinese phone makers upping the battery capacity game, Samsung fans shouldn’t have to worry about it. It is noted that flagship Galaxy phones offer better battery performance than their rivals having larger battery cells.

The Galaxy S25 Plus will most likely use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Galaxy chip. It is being manufactured by TSMC using its 3nm process technology. Therefore, we can expect a slight increment in terms of battery efficiency.
