Chinese phone makers are aggressive about their Ultra-branded flagships. The handsets come with powerful camera hardware specifications. However, Samsung is sticking to its signature design for the 2025’s flagship, Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Over the years, Chinese smartphone vendors aggressively upscaled their product strategy. To compete with industry leaders; Samsung and Apple, brands like Xiaomi, vivo and OnePlus launched their Ultra handsets with power specs.

Despite aggressive marketing, the products failed to damage Samsung’s repo in the global market. The overall sales of high-end flagships from Chinese brands are less than the sales of Samsung’s Galaxy S Ultra variant.

Samsung no longer sees the Chinese Ultra as the Galaxy S Ultra rival. Apple’s iPhone Pro Max is on target, with efforts increasing to maintain an edge. The next year’s Samsung Ultra will be the biggest attack on Apple’s market presence.

Apple gradually expanding its footsteps in key markets. GenZ shoppers prefer buying Apple iPhones and Galaxy owners teased outdated. Samsung’s about to change this course, the next-gen Galaxy will come with an “iPhonified” design.

High-end flagships from Chinese brands only become the choice of tech geeks. Due to their thick and big camera bumps, the handsets are not acceptable to the audience. Samsung won’t take the risk of adopting this design in the global market.

The addition of exceptionally powerful camera hardware will increase the cost. This way, the Korean tech giant will have to increase the pricing of its handsets. It doesn’t seem possible as Apple has frozen the iPhone 16 pricing despite upgrades.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will directly compete with the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will give an edge to the S25 Ultra in terms of CPU and GPU performance. Design-wise, it’s a little better and lighter than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
