Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus charging speed revealed

Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus Design

Charging speed of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus has been revealed. The company will bring its new flagship phones in early next year. However, Galaxy fans won’t witness any upgrades in terms of battery capacity and charging speed.

Recently, the 3C listing of the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus confirmed the charging speed. The certification authority listed Samsung’s SM-S9360 and SM-9310. The former supports up to 45W (15V, 3A) and the latter supports 25W (9V, 2.77A).

Galaxy S25 Ultra, which hasn’t yet popped up on 3C, will also support 45W charging. The battery capacity of Samsung’s next trio won’t be increased. Earlier leaks didn’t reveal the mAh upgrade in the battery of S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra.

Samsung is sticking with 45W charging on its flagship phones. This year, select mid-range phones offered support for 45W charging. However, the company isn’t going beyond 45W – but for good – as product reliability must be in priority.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will power the next Galaxy flagships. The chipset is being manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process node. The smaller chip size is expected to offer a marginal improvement in efficiency and consumption.

The Korean tech giant is also developing Exynos 2500 SoC. However, the chipset is unlikely to come out due to the low yield rate at Samsung Foundry. We may see the S23 series like a Snapdragon-only processor strategy next year.
