Last week, Huawei launched the world’s first triple-screen foldable phone in China. Now, Samsung and Apple are in tension over news that Huawei Mate XT triple-screen foldable could be launched in the global market soon.

Huawei could give the Mate XT triple foldable a global launch. The Chinese phone maker is seemingly aggressive in its innovation in the industry. Rather than keeping it China-exclusive, Huawei reportedly preparing for its global unveiling.

AndroidAuthority claims to have authentic info on Mate XT’s global launch. The outlet reports that Huawei Mate XT will launch in global markets in Q1 2025. It’s a pretty big development that could make a notable impact with its innovative form factor.

The Mate XT sports a 10.2-inch folding OLED display. Folding the phone once turns it into a 7.9-inch display, while a second fold gives you a 6.4-inch screen. The gadget is just 12.8mm thick, which is marginally thicker than the Z Fold 6.

While Huawei’s tri-fold coming globally, Samsung is reportedly working on a rollable device. It is reported that the Korean tech giant would bring the world’s first rollable screen smartphone, offering a laptop-sized screen.

Apple hasn’t yet launched any foldable screen product so far. The company has been working on a foldable laptop and iPad. However, the plan is reportedly postponed due to issues in development and potential durability concerns.
