Apple’s new iPhone 16 Pro Max failed to fade the battery life dominance of Galaxy S24 Ultra. Despite getting a larger battery, the newest iPhone lasted nearly 1 hour less than Samsung’s flagship launched earlier this year.

Tech YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss tested the battery life of both flagships. The result shows Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has better battery life than the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple’s optimization no longer has an edge in terms of battery efficiency.

Arun noted the Galaxy S24 Ultra lasted 12 hours and 31 minutes. At the same time, the iPhone 16 Pro Max lasted 11 hours and 22 minutes. The scores are in the same usage pattern but reveal a decent edge for Samsung’s flagship.

Apple doesn’t advertise the battery capacity of products on its official landing page. However, Brazilian regulator Anatel disclosed that the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts a 4,685mAh battery, up 5.5% from the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s.

Galaxy S24 Ultra, on the flip side, brings a 5000mAh battery. Samsung has made significant developments in software optimization. As a result, the Galaxy flagship lasts longer than Apple’s most premium iPhone.

Galaxy S25 Ultra will crush Apple

Samsung is currently developing its next-generation Galaxy S lineup. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be announced by January next year. A major development in the battery and performance is most likely.

The reason is – Snapdragon with Oryon.

Qualcomm has fueled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with a new Oryon CPU. The new architecture promises stunning performance improvement. However, a marginal improvement in battery life is also coming, thanks to cutting edge 3nm process.
