Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones are receiving the September 2024 security update in Europe and India. In mid-September, these devices received an Android 14-One UI 6.1.1 update with a bundle of smart features.

The latest security patch is improving the security and stability of these devices by fixing several issues that users encountered in the previous version. This update overall provides a smoother experience and boosts your phone’s performance.

Notably, the September 2024 security patch fixes 1 critical and 43 high-level security issues. Samsung brings 23 security fixes related to My Files, Theme Center, One UI Home, Knox, and Dex to make your experience better.

September 2024 security update is rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra users in India and Europe via One UI build versions S911BXXS6CXHA, S916BXXS6CXHA, and S918BXXS6CXHA respectively.

Samsung will soon make this update available in more countries. The installation package size of the fresh security patch is around 300MB.

Users are advised to install the update promptly to benefit from the improved security measures. For those who have not received an update notification, the update can be manually checked and installed.

To install the update, open the smartphone’s settings, select ‘Software Update’, and then ‘Download and install’. Following these steps will ensure that your Galaxy smartphone is up-to-date with the latest security protections
