Google Messages is preparing to add a “cross-country” category for organizing texts: ones from unknown international sources. It could be available as an optional category, which you can decide to implement, and which country codes would be barred.
Though some manual work is to be done, it will help reduce spam a lot. Consider you have no contact links with an international business, but getting regular messages. These specified texts will be categorized under cross-country.
Samsung is pushing Galaxy users to make Google Messages default. The company believes that the expansion of the Google Messages app will boost RCS availability. Google is therefore continuing to improve spam protection with new features.
The problem of spam isn’t ending anytime soon. Google Messages manages to identify most of the suspicious messages and mark them as spam. Cross-country could be just like the ability to manually tag texts for sorting.

Besides Google patches, Samsung offers 23 SVE items to improve user experience. The latest security patch fixes various issues related to My Files, Theme Center, One UI Home, Knox, Dex, and more.

- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Software Updates from the menu.
- Tap on the Download and Install option to initiate the update process.
- If the update is available, proceed to install it.
Several Samsung Galaxy users are facing issues with the Edge Lighting feature after updating to One UI 6.1.1. This issue has caused inconvenience and frustration for those who rely on these features for notifications.
According to some reports in the community, the Samsung Edge Lighting feature stops working after the One UI 6.1.1 update. Users have to either erase or disable the Edge Lighting+ app to get it back.
Fortunately, Samsung has acknowledged the Edge Lighting+ issue and apologized for the problem it has caused. The community moderator has confirmed that Samsung is aware of the issue and is working on a solution.

Users are advised to be patient as Samsung works on resolving the issue and a new software update will be soon available with a fix.
For now, affected users can disable Edge Lighting+ to use Edge Lighting functionality. While this is not a permanent solution, it allows users to continue receiving notifications until the official fix is released.

The new software plan had not been expanded to older lineups like before. Still, the Galaxy S23 series as well as Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are eligible for 4 OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches. It’s uncertain but Samsung could provide an additional OS upgrade to some devices.
