Unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6 get October 2024 update in the US

Samsung has pushed the October 2024 security update for unlocked models of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones in the US. This update is already available in Europe and for locked models in the US.

The fresh update boosts the system’s security and stability to enhance the overall experience. It fixes a bundle of issues to provide a better Galaxy performance.

October 2024 security update for unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 models in the US with One UI build version F741U1UES1AXIB and F956U1UES1AXIB respectively. The company will soon make this update available in more countries.

It is worth mentioning that the latest security update includes the October 2024 security patch, which is packed with fixes from Google and Samsung. Google’s patches 2 critical and 28 high-level issues, although 1 was already sorted out and 2 don’t apply to Galaxy phones.

On Samsung’s side, there are fixes for 12 vulnerabilities, especially in system services and Knox. Also, Samsung Semiconductor boosts performance with another fix.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are running on Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 and have just received a new security update. These devices will soon get the first major One UI update, which is set to be available for developers by the end of the year.
