Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones are getting an October 2024 security update in the US, following the release in Europe. The fresh update is currently available for locked models on the Verizon network carrier, and the unlocked models will get it.

October 2024 security update is rolling out with some important fixes from Google and Samsung. Google has patched 2 critical and 28 high-level issues, 1 was already resolved and 2 don’t apply to Galaxy devices.

On Samsung’s end, there are 12 fixes for vulnerabilities in system services and Knox. In addition, Samsung Semiconductor also added a fix to improve performance. Overall, the update enhances the security of the device for better protection.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series are getting an October 2024 security patch on Verizon network in the US with One UI build versions:

  • Galaxy S22 – S901USQS6EXJ3
  • Galaxy S22 Plus – S906USQS6EXJ3
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra – S908USQS6EXJ3
