Android 15 One UI 7

There’s some exciting news for Samsung Galaxy owners. According to the latest report, you might try out the new One UI 7.0, built on Android 15, much sooner than we thought. We’ve found information from two different sources, each claiming to support our expectations.

The first piece of important information comes courtesy of a well-known tipster, @samsonsirji, who has claimed to have an inside scoop directly from discussions with Samsung’s One UI developer team.

Samsung’s development team is reportedly pushing to finalize a “mostly stable” build of One UI 7.0 by the end of October 2024, as reported on X. Specifically, the company has instructed its development team to complete a stable version of the One UI 7.0 beta, without any serious issues, by October 31st, 2024.

In addition to this, another reputed source in the Samsung world, Sammobile, claimed that One UI 7 is undergoing significant changes, so much, so that a video shared from the Samsung Developers Conference (SDC) 2024 has already become outdated. Samsung is actively refining and altering the design and possibly the features of One UI 7 at a speed that’s quicker than usual updates, as reported.

Information from various sources, including insights from people who’ve had hands-on experience at SDC 2024, suggests that many of the visual elements initially showcased have since been changed. The changes include new icons, an overhauled notification shade, redesigned quick toggles, and a revamped camera interface, among other things.

The beta program is expected to first be available for the Galaxy S24 series, and possibly extend to other recent high-end devices like the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6, with plans for expansion to older models later.

One UI for all

But remember, these are just rumors for now. Plans are subject to change, and we should await an official statement from Samsung for confirmation. But if @samsonsirji’s insights are on point, Samsung users are on the brink of experiencing one of the most revolutionary updates to Samsung’s UI to date.

Official Information:

Samsung announced at the SDC 2024 that One UI 7 would bring significant changes, marking a major change in its custom Android skin. The company also has a plan to launch the stable version of One UI 7.0 alongside the Galaxy S25 series next year. Samsung also confirmed to bring the One UI 7.0 beta program by the end of this year.

Samsung One UI 7

Samsung is making major design changes in One UI 7 software. Following the SDC24, we’ve seen some upcoming changes and features. Sources told SamMobile that One UI 7 has changed much compared to its appearance at SDC.

Per insiders, Samsung has changed many visual elements in One UI 7. In particular, the software got revamped app icons, animations, and other parts of the interface. This means, the icons teased at SDC are also replaced by newer ones.

Samsung will release the One UI 7 Beta by the end of this year. As the release nears, the company is swiftly refining changes. The first beta build of One UI 7.0 could introduce a brand-new interface for Galaxy devices.

Good Lock will play a key role in Galaxy’s customization. Home Up could allow you to replace Galaxy’s animation with Pixel (stock Android) or iPhone (iOS). Other personalization modules will also be upgraded with new tricks and features.

Are you waiting for Beta?

Samsung said the One UI 7 Beta will be available for Developers and Public. We assume a brief Beta Program could kick off right before the Stable rollout. The company should launch Beta internationally so all users can enjoy testing.

The final version of One UI 7.0 will be released next year. The next-gen Galaxy S phones will debut with brand-new software. That said, Galaxy smartphone users can expect the update to start rolling out by February next year.

Samsung isn’t just sitting lazy, the world’s biggest smartphone maker is actively preparing for the One UI 7.0 update. There’s a reason behind this, Samsung has updated several apps to support Android 15, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.

One of the primary concerns for Galaxy users during any beta testing phase is the compatibility of the apps. Samsung is doing the perfect job by updating the essential apps for the Galaxy smartphones.
