Get Link Info on Google

With this update, users can easily verify the authenticity of any link shared in individual or group chats. To use the feature, simply tap and hold a message that contains a link. This will bring up a menu with the option to search for information about the link on Google.

Previously, WhatsApp focused on helping users verify frequently forwarded links. Now, this improved feature allows for checking any link shared in conversations, offering more comprehensive protection. However, WhatsApp does not access or see what users are searching for.

The new feature makes it easier to learn more about the link before clicking on it. It helps to reduce the risk of falling for scams or downloading harmful content.
