Samsung S23 One UI 7

Samsung is gearing up for the release of One UI 7, the next major software update for its Galaxy devices, with beta testing expected to begin in mid-November 2024. While this release is still some time away, early signs of the performance improvements in One UI 7 have already surfaced for the Samsung Galaxy S23.

A recent Geekbench listing of the base model of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series running Android 15 and One UI 7 shows impressive benchmark scores. The device achieved 2109 in single-core and 5555 in multi-core tests.

These scores indicate that One UI 7 will deliver smoother performance, better efficiency, and enhanced multitasking. Notably, these benchmark scores are based on early builds of One UI 7 and do not indicate the start of the beta release. They just provide insight into how the Galaxy S23 will perform with the next software version.

If the standard Galaxy S23 model shows such strong results then the Galaxy S23 Ultra with its more powerful hardware is expected to perform even better with One UI 7.

Samsung announced the release of the stable version of One UI 7 alongside the new Galaxy S25 series in 2025. After that, the update will be rolled out to other recent flagship models, including the Galaxy S23.

For Galaxy S23 users, the upcoming One UI 7 update looks promising as it will surely provide better performance with several new features. Stay tuned with us for updates on One UI 7.

Samsung leaked select One UI 7 design elements and app icons on Galaxy Book laptops. The company rolled out a new Galaxy Book Experience app update. The latest version replaced current app icons with newer ones from One UI 7.

Android 15-based One UI 7 Beta Program could launch early next week. Recently, the first Beta build has surfaced online on Samsung’s software server. The Public rollout is slated to start by late January or early February next year.

The Galaxy S24 series is first in line to receive the One UI 7 Beta update. The Beta could not be available globally as Samsung is slated to stick to traditional market availability; China, Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US.

The new Galaxy Book Experience app has revamped icons from One UI 7 for Samsung Phone, Samsung Notes, SmartThings, and Tips. The software hasn’t yet been released for Galaxy phones, but icons match with previously leaked icons.

Samsung has revamped many app icons such as Samsung Phone, Samsung Messages, Samsung Internet, My Files, Gallery, Calculator, Samsung Cloud, Samsung Contacts, Settings, Samsung Camera, Samsung Clock, and FM Radio.

The screenshots from Galaxy Book show new Notes and Tips app icons. A majority of Galaxy users want Samsung to change the Notes app’s design. The public build could reflect changes if enough voice is raised during the Beta Program.

Samsung One UI 7 Beta ZXKB

Samsung is all set to release the One UI 7.0 Beta for the Galaxy S24 series anytime. The first Beta firmware with a build version ending with ZXKB has been spotted on Samsung’s server, hinting at an imminent announcement.

One UI 7.0 Beta release has been delayed since the July-August period. Now, it seems the Beta Program isn’t far from kicking off for Samsung’s latest flagships. For the first time, a Beta build has been listed on Samsung’s software server.

Build version S928BXXU4ZXKB refers to Galaxy S24 Ultra (Global). This means countries like Germany, India, Poland, and the UK will soon be eligible for the Beta activity. There will be separate builds for the US, Korean, and Chinese variants.

Well, we still need to wait for the public One UI 7 Beta Program to commence. The first Beta build has surfaced today only, and there’s always room for finishing touches before seeding it to consumer units.

One UI 7 Beta could be released next week

Recently, a credible source revealed that Samsung could open the Android 15-based One UI 7 Beta Program after November 17. It’s expected that the Beta firmware will be available for download early next week.

In the first phase, the Beta Program can be accessible in the US and South Korea. The second phase could cover the remaining five countries. However, there could be some strategic changes in the Beta software’s distribution.

The new One UI version would bring revamped icons, separated quick settings and notification sections, new rounded user interface components, fluid animations and transitions, functional refinements, Galaxy AI upgrades, and so on.

A worldwide Beta Program will help Samsung better understand the needs and likings of Galaxy consumers. We always wish Samsung would open One UI Beta internationally. However, such changes are not likely to happen this year.
