Samsung Galaxy S25 Release Date: January 5th leak might be a mistake

Samsung Galaxy S25 series may not release on January 5, 2025. Recently, a wild rumor based on a retailer surface surfaced online claiming the next-gen Galaxies will go official on January 5th.

A retailer has recently conducted an online survey; asking shoppers their preferred timeframe to pre-order the 2025 Samsung flagships. The survey hinted at the possibility of the Galaxy S25 series release on January 5, 2025.

Samsung usually kickstarts pre-reservation around 10 days before unveiling flagship products. Once the product is officially unveiled, it goes on pre-order, which often lasts for a period of ten days to two weeks.

That said, the launch timeframe was aligned with December 25 – Christmas 2024. However, credible leaker @chunvn8888 having confirmed info revealed that January 5th is not the release date for the Galaxy S25 series.

The retailer’s survey has nothing to do with Samsung’s product unveiling schedule. The development renders the Galaxy S25 release date an ongoing mystery, which could only be solved if an authentic and genuine input appears.

The Galaxy S24 series was unveiled in mid-January and went on sale starting January 31. The company has pushed ahead the launch schedule from February (in 2023) to January (in 2024) to better compete with Apple iPhone models.

Galaxy S25 Series Key Specs and Price

Snapdragon 8 Elite could exclusively power the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung is unlikely to bring display or camera upgrades to the next flagships. However, there will be huge performance and battery efficiency improvements onboard.

Samsung Galaxy S25 could start at $799 for the base variant. The Galaxy S25 Plus could come with a starting price tag of $999 for a 256GB model. The S25 Ultra could be priced at $1399 for a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
