Verizon is rolling out the November 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones in the US. This update is already out for users in Canada.

Users of Samsung Galaxy S21 series can verify the November 2024 security update on Verizon network carrier in US via One UI builds G991USQSEGXJ4, G996USQSEGXJ4, and G998USQSEGXJ4 respectively. This update is currently available for locked models and the company will expand it soon.

It protects Galaxy devices against security threats by integrating Android and Samsung’s latest security patches. Moreover, it fixes bugs encountered in previous software to provide a more reliable and efficient user experience.

November 2024 Security Patch Details

November 2024 security update addresses 52 vulnerabilities across Android and Samsung’s software. Google has resolved 38 high-level issues, while one CVE is not relevant to Galaxy devices.

Additionally, Samsung’s patches include fixes for 13 vulnerabilities, mainly impacting user profiles, Dex Mode, Galaxy Watch, and certain system features like Settings and Maintenance Mode. These updates are designed to enhance the security and performance of Galaxy devices.

How to Update:

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
