Samsung Galaxy A56 5G could get a massive charging speed boost. The company is working on various smartphones to be launched next year. In the latest development, the charging support of the A56 5G was allegedly revealed.

According to 3C, Samsung Galaxy A56 5G supports 45W fast charging. If the listing is true, the A56 is set to get a huge upgrade. With almost double the charging speed, users won’t have to wait much to get the battery juice refilled.

The phone allegedly supports a maximum charging of 10V at 4.5A, reaching 45W. It’s a big upgrade as the previous phones in the same segment offer 25W charging. Notably, the Galaxy S25 is rumored to come with 25W charging support.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra support 45W charging. This year, select non-flagship phones debuted 45W charging capacity. 45W doesn’t sound that big when Chinese vendors introduced up to 240W speeds.

Anyways, it’s a notable upgrade in Samsung’s smartphone segment. Despite the fact that 45W charging isn’t much faster than 25W, it will pave the way for even faster charging on future Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Galaxy A56 5G Design and Leaked Specs

Samsung could ship the Galaxy A56 with a major design upgrade. The rear panel could get a vertical island to boast the camera sensors. We’ve seen the potential in Galaxy A’s design philosophy in CAD renders of the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26.

The phone will debut a new processor, Exynos 1580 likely, with improved performance and efficiency. The conventional 32MP front camera could also be replaced with a new solution featuring 12-megapixel resolution.

Samsung could introduce the Galaxy A56 and A36 smartphones in the first half of the next year.
