Samsung 240Hz gaming OLED to enter mass production soon

Samsung today announced that it will start mass production of 16-inch 240Hz OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display panels for gaming laptops.

This panel is mounted on Laser’s new product ‘Blade 16’, and has a high refresh rate of 240Hz, a response speed of 0.2ms, and a QHD+ (2560×1600) resolution.

The Razer Blade 16 recently received the ‘Clear MR 11000’ certification, the highest rating among laptop products, from the Video Electronics Association (VE SA ).

Clear MR is a picture quality standard introduced by VESA in 2022 and is an indicator for judging the motion blur (dragging phenomenon that appears when switching screens) performance of a display.

So when it’s going official: The Razer laptop equipped with Samsung OLED is scheduled to debut at CES 2024, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA from the 9th to the 12th.
