We’re now in December and the Galaxy A50 smartphones are receiving November 2020 security update in India. This firmware update comes with build version A505FDDS5BTK3. The latest security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues including 5 Critical, 29 High, and 31 Moderate levels of CVEs.

Last month, Samsung has started to roll out the October 2020 security patch from Galaxy A50 phones. This made the Galaxy A50, the first device to receive the latest security update. But this time not done as same as the previous month.
According to the information, the Galaxy A50 is now grabbing the November 2020 security patch with a new software update that is identified with the build number A505FDDS5BTJA. Other than the latest security patch, this update doesn’t bring any new features.

Samsung Galaxy A50 was launched with the One UI 1.1 that is based on Android 9 Pie. Later this device is upgraded to the Android 10 based One UI 2.0. It is expected that we will notice a One UI 2.5 update for this smartphone is coming future. Moreover, the device is also listed to get the latest One UI 3.0 based on Android 11.

November 2024 Security Patch Details
November 2024 security update addresses 52 vulnerabilities across Android and Samsung’s software. Google has resolved 38 high-priority issues, while one CVE is not relevant to Galaxy devices.
Samsung’s patches include fixes for 13 vulnerabilities, primarily impacting user profiles, Dex Mode, Galaxy Watch, and certain system features like Settings and Maintenance Mode. This update enhances both the security and performance of Galaxy devices.

One UI 7 Beta update was announced to be released at the end of the year, with plans to stable release in early 2025 along with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. Reports claim that the Beta Program is about to start in the coming days for the Galaxy S24 series.
