Shazam for Wear OS on Galaxy devices gets new update with revamped UI
Apple-owned Shazam app, which is available on both Android and iOS is getting a new update for Wear OS smartwatches like Galaxy Watch. Notably, this significant update brings a revamped UI and removes the need for the phone app to recognize songs for an enhanced experience.
It means users don’t need to carry their smartphone every time, as the Shazam app now operates independently. Simultaneously, to start the music recognition process users will now need to click particularly on the Shazam logo, instead of just launching the app.
In addition, the update also allows users to use the Shazam app and record the audio even when they are not connected to the Internet. The application will save your recording and perform the match once you get back online. Furthermore, the identified songs now instantly sync across your devices in real time.
But for this, the app will require your Google Account to be logged in and if you’re not using the Google Account option, make sure to first open the Shazam app on your Android phone to get everything to work properly. Besides, users will also notice some tweaks in the UI of the Shazam Wear OS app.

When you uninstall the Galaxy Wearable app, it’s necessary to also delete the Galaxy Watch 6 Manager app. To uninstall the Galaxy Watch 6 Manager, follow these simple steps:
- Open Settings on the smartphone connected to your Galaxy Watch 6.
- Now, click on the Apps option.
- Search for the ‘Galaxy Watch6 Manager‘ app in the list.
- Tap on the app, select Delete, and confirm by pressing OK.
After acknowledgment of message pop-ups, Samsung is also planning to release a new update for the Galaxy Watch Manager 6 app to fix this issue. Here’s how to update the Galaxy Watch 6 Manager app:
- Open the Galaxy Store on your device.
- Select the Updates option from the Menu.
- Check the Galaxy Watch6 Manager app and proceed with the update.
