Over 70% Samsung Pay users switched to Wallet in South Korea

Samsung Wallet hits 70% deployment among Samsung Pay users in South Korea. Samsung brought the Wallet experience to South Korea about three weeks back and announced that more than 70% of Pay users have switched to Wallet.

The Wallet app’s mobile ID feature has taken center stage, leading to a fast conversion rate. Samsung Wallet conversion rate for the 1020 generation reaches 75%. The service also conducts promotions such as discount coupons in various industries.

Last month, Samsung launched the Samsung Wallet in South Korea, which features a mobile driver’s license and a national veterans registration card. The mobile driver’s license can also be used for voter identification in Korea’s 22nd National Assembly election.

A Samsung official said, “Samsung Wallet’s various additional features are rapidly changing users’ daily lives,” and added, “We hope you will experience the era of electronic wallets that have become safer and more convenient with various lifestyle functions.”

Samsung is releasing a fresh update for the Galaxy A21s smartphone in Europe. The update installs the May 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability.

Users of Samsung Galaxy A21s can identify the latest update through One UI build version A217FXXSCDXE2 in Europe. It weighs 152.63MB software package.

The update is currently rolling out for users in Europe and the company will soon make it available in more countries. Users can install the update through Settings >> Software Updates >> Download and install.

The Galaxy A21s is an affordable Samsung Galaxy A series smartphone and features an innovative front camera design. But now, users of this smartphone will no longer get regular software updates.

Launched in 2020, Samsung Galaxy A21s has completed its update cycle as per the company’s policy. This smartphone will no longer receive new Android updates beyond version 12 and the latest security patch released in May 2024. Users can look forward to newer models that offer enhanced features and the latest software.

Samsung removed some icons from Good Lock’s NavStar

Samsung recently updated its NavStar Good Lock module, affecting users who enjoyed customizing navigation bar icons. Previously, users could select from a variety of icons for the Navigation Bar. However, with the latest update, certain icons have been removed from the selection, causing disappointment among users.

A user posted on the Samsung Community expressing disappointment that the update no longer supports his favorite icons, and fixes them on the screen like a photo on a gray background. The user also pointed out that the updated selection does not have the same shape options.

In response, a Samsung community moderator acknowledged this concern and explained that the new update had removed some of the NavStar icons. The removed icons will not return with the NavStar update and are no longer supported.
