Note Assist will continue to be included in the next iteration of the Galaxy AI. As the company is highlighting Note Assist in its official material, it would have some fruitful enhancements. The S Pen could have been deeply integrated with Galaxy AI’s Note Assist functionality.

Next is Interpreter, which is already available in Galaxy AI but makes great use of dual-screen form factor. When used, the cover screen will display text in a language that the second person understands. Naturally, the inner display will go vice versa, all thanks to Flex Mode.

Samsung already confirmed that the One UI 6 Watch brings Galaxy AI features. The Watch 7 will be equipped with an AI Message Assistant feature called Smart Reply. Based on the message received, the OS will suggest relevant replies, which would surely save you time.

The leaked image also shows the inclusion of AI-powered sleep tips. The smartwatch will use artificial intelligence to provide you with Sleep tips. Samsung’s new Smart Reply and Sleep Tips will be rolled out to select older Galaxy devices later this year.

The Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro support a feature to turn speech into notes. You won’t be required to create notes by writing text as the earbuds will hear and turn into notes instantly. A Real-Time Interpreter will also be available to bypass the language barriers while communicating.

The Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro come with an Adaptive EQ feature. Based on the song playing, it will adjust equalizer levels for a perfect listening experience. AI will play a crucial role here to automatically adjust the EQ levels for each song, enabling longer listening.

Today, Samsung disclosed its earnings estimation for Q3 2024. The company’s top leadership also issued a rare apology for its lack of innovation, admitting that despite the AI chip boom, the company missed the opportunity for growth.

Samsung announced its provisional results for Q3 2024, reporting sales of 79 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 9.1 trillion KRW. The company will soon release final results, which could be just marginally different.

The Korean tech giant further revealed that sales increased by 6.66% while operating profit decreased by 12.84% quarter over quarter. Besides, the sales rose by 17.21% and operating profit surged by 274.49% year-on-year.

  • Consolidated Sales: Approximately 79 trillion Korean won
  • Consolidated Operating Profit: Approximately 9.1 trillion Korean won

Samsung’s flagship and foldable phones scored lower than expected sales. The company’s semiconductor business is already in crisis due to yield issues. Samsung is facing concerns in multiple ways leading it to a critical stage.

TSMC continues to widen the gap in the international foundry market. Its rivals in the memory chip market like SK Hynix are also giving fierce competition. Late entry into the cutting-edge AI memory semiconductor market also made things painful.

We’ve seen reports Samsung could be laying off employees in various countries. The company could cut its workforce and focus on growth further. DS Division could also see a major reshuffle to return to the pace of growth.
