Samsung Galaxy S21 Green Line Display

Consumers criticizing Samsung in China over Galaxy S21 Green Line issue. Incredible support provided by Samsung India is also on target as Indian users are getting free-of-cost screen replacement, while it’s paid in China.

China’s Jimu News reports some Galaxy S21 users facing green line issues on their screens. While Samsung India has been providing free display replacements, even after the warranty period, Chinese consumers are being asked to bear the repair cost.

The report says that a Chinese consumer purchased a Galaxy S21 in December 2021 for 3,789 yuan (approximately $710). The phone functioned normally for over two years but suddenly developed a green vertical line, despite no external damage.

When the customer visited a Samsung service center on September 3rd, she was informed that the warranty had expired and she would have to pay for a display replacement, which would cost around 1,000 yuan (approximately $187).

Notably, the Chinese outlet explored social media and consumer complaint platforms and found that many consumers had reported the green line issue in recent years, with repair costs ranging from hundreds to over a thousand yuan.

Seeing the FOC screen replacement in India, Galaxy owners in China also demanding the policy to be made available. Despite having a negligible presence, Samsung should offer the same treatment to cement its after-sales image in the country.

Samsung is doing a great job in India, with consumers satisfied even after encountering Green Line on screen. The company’s India unit is offering free-of-cost screen replacement, even if the phone is out of warranty.
