Samsung guides users to prevent Galaxy’s frame color peel-off
Your Samsung Galaxy’s frame color coating may peel off if misused. Samsung recently warned users not to use non-genuine fast chargers or battery massagers. It may lead to a color peel-off problem on your Galaxy smartphone.
Samsung says Galaxy device’s frame color coating may peel off if you use it during charging with a non-genuine fast charger. The same concern could occur when you use a low-frequency electric massager that takes power from your phone’s battery.
Both situations could cause the Galaxy phone’s exterior frame color to peel off. The company noted that it’s not a Galaxy-limited problem. It occurs due to the current factors between the device and the human body under certain charging and usage.
It has been confirmed that the phenomenon of external damage (metal corrosion, paint peeling) occurring when using a Galaxy device while charging may occur due to a large amount of leakage current generated by some non-genuine fast chargers.
If you hold or touch the product for a long time in this situation, corrosion (peeling) may occur on the metal surface. In case you have such an issue on your Galaxy, check whether the charger you are currently using is non-genuine.
The conditions under which this phenomenon may occur are as follows:
- Powering mobile devices by connecting a non-genuine fast charger
- Do not hold the smartphone with a body part such as your hand while charging.
Electric Massager
Samsung suggests not to connect the low-frequency massager with your Galaxy. It may end up bringing metal corrosion or paint peeling after holding or using the Galaxy device for a long time with a low-frequency (EMS) massager.
The conditions under which this phenomenon may occur are as follows:
- Supplying power to a “contact external device that causes current to flow through the human body” using a smartphone
- Do not hold the device with a body part such as your hand.

Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 lineup in January 2025. Since the battery upgrade isn’t likely, the efficiency is expected to be improved. This year’s flagship models will use a 3nm-based chipset, compared to the 4nm of the S24 series.
This generational change is massive, as the smaller chip size will result in increased battery life. That said, the same 4900mAh battery is quite promising – paired with optimized software, it will marginally boost the performance.
While Chinese phone makers upping the battery capacity game, Samsung fans shouldn’t have to worry about it. It is noted that flagship Galaxy phones offer better battery performance than their rivals having larger battery cells.
The Galaxy S25 Plus will most likely use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Galaxy chip. It is being manufactured by TSMC using its 3nm process technology. Therefore, we can expect a slight increment in terms of battery efficiency.
