Breaking: Samsung will release One UI 7 with Galaxy S25 next year

Published

SDC24 kicked off and Samsung officially confirmed the One UI 7 release. There’s bad news that the major firmware won’t be coming to your Galaxy this year. In a major strategic shift, Samsung confirmed the One UI 7 release in 2025.

The Korean tech giant announced at SDC24 that the One UI 7 will be released with the next-gen Galaxy S series in 2025. We know the company will introduce the Galaxy S25 series, which is likely to be unveiled in January.

We were eagerly waiting for the Beta Program availability. Unfortunately, it isn’t released today or anytime soon, as Samsung revealed it’s coming to developers later this year. The Galaxy S24 series will indeed receive the Beta before 2024 ends.

Meanwhile, the company previewed a sneak peek of One UI 7 at SDC24, highlighting its new UX focused on simple, impactful, and emotive design alongside more ways to seamlessly integrate Galaxy AI features into daily activities.

Samsung’s One UI has always been designed to bring users the most personalized, creative, and productive experiences possible on mobile devices. The company specifically mentioned developers’ activity, hinting at no public beta activity.

Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung’s next flagship lineup has not become a big deal for all. 2025’s first Galaxy Unpacked has just become a must joining live stream. The hardware-focused launch has now become a hybrid event with flagship and software together.

Galaxy S25 series could run One UI 7.1 version out of the box. Judging from the major reshuffle, we are guessing a shift in the One UI version strategy too. Well, time will tell what Samsung has for its millions of Galaxy smartphone users.

James is the lead content creator on Sammy Fans and mostly works on Samsung's firmware section. His first phone was the Galaxy S4 and continues to get new S series devices. Most of the time, James tries to learn about new technologies and gadgets but he also sneaks a bit of free time to nearby rivers and nature.
