Download Manager revamp preparing for Google Play Store: Have looks

Google Play Store Download Manager

Google is planning to introduce a Download Manager feature for the Play Store, which will help users keep track of the apps they’ve recently downloaded but haven’t opened yet. With lots of apps available on your device, it’s easy to forget which ones you’ve just installed, and this feature aims to fix that concern.

In the latest test version (v43.2.16-29) of the Play Store, AssembleDebug (via Android Authority) has managed to activate the Download Manager feature and provide us with a first look at this upcoming feature.

The Download Manager updates in real-time as per the user’s action. This means that once you open an app from the list, it will disappear to allow you to see what’s left to explore. In addition, you’ll see how many recent apps you’ve downloaded on the app details page.

While the Download Manager is a useful addition to the Google Play Store, some users might want more options, like being able to pause and resume downloads. This could be especially helpful for people with limited data plans.

The Download Manager is currently not available to everyone as Google hasn’t officially announced it yet. However, if the company releases it, it could make managing app downloads much easier for users.

WhatsApp Chat memory feature

WhatsApp is releasing a new update with version 2.24.22.9 for Android users. This beta update of WhatsApp introduces a chat memory feature for Meta AI that aims to make your conversations with the chatbot more personalized.

Earlier, WhatsApp announced a voice chat mode, allowing you to talk to Meta AI in real-time instead of typing. Now, the new chat memory feature will take this personalization a step further.

The chat memory feature of the Meta AI will automatically remember details you share on WhatsApp. This can include things like whether you are vegan, your birthday, your preferred conversation style, and even your interests, such as favorite books or types of documentaries.

By remembering the above-mentioned details, Meta AI can offer responses and recommendations that are more relevant to you. Let’s take an example: if you ask for food suggestions, Meta AI will avoid recommending dishes you don’t like or are allergic to, making the conversation more useful and enjoyable.

Notably, you will have full control over what Meta AI remembers. You can easily update or delete any information whenever you want. The new chat memory feature is currently under development and will be available in a future WhatsApp update
