4+ Years On: Verizon still updates Samsung Galaxy S20, Note 20
Verizon kicked off the latest software updates for the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series. Samsung’s popular flagship phones still receiving firmware support itself solidifies the company’s commitment to consumer security.
Eligible devices for October updates by Verizon include Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 20, and Note 20 Ultra. The rollout of software has already started and your phone should have received the OTA, with installation due for your approval.

The above-listed models are eligible for the October 2024 security patch. As confirmed by the smartphone manufacturer, this patch fixes more than 40 security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software.

Samsung Galaxy A52 users are receiving a new update with an October 2024 security patch to make the device more secure, reliable, and stable. The update is rolling out for A52 users in Asian and European countries.

Samsung has rolled out a new update with the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy A53 smartphone. The update is currently available for users in Europe and the company will soon make it available in more regions.

This Galaxy A series smartphone is eligible for the next One UI update, One UI 7. Back in August 2024, the Galaxy A53 smartphone appeared on Geekbench with One UI 7 and Android 15. It showed amazing performance, scoring 826 in single-core and 1621 in multi-core.

The update is based on One UI 6.1 and Android 14, and the S21 models are also eligible for the One UI 7 update. The Galaxy S21 Plus has already been tested with One UI 7 and Android 14 on Geekbench Platform with a single-core score of 1427 and a multi-core score of 2528.
