The S-Pen functionality in Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is reportedly confirmed
Samsung is preparing for its next flagship series, the Galaxy S21. This line up will consist of three smartphones namely, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. As the date for the launch of the Galaxy S21 series is coming closer, there are many news regarding the smartphones that are coming to light.
Similarly, a recent news from Korean media confirms the inclusion of the S-Pen in the Galaxy S21. This means that we will be seeing the S-Pen functionality in the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the top most variant of the lineup.
According to the report, it was found that the company has recently given orders for the ‘digitizer’ and started the mass production. The digitizer is a flexible printed circuit board that converts the analog signals from the pen into digital and is an essential component of pen input.
It looks like Samsung changed its strategy for this time, the Korean tech giant has transferred the S-Pen functionality to its S series smartphones and will further implement it into the upcoming foldable devices. These foldable will be released in the second half of 2021 and will replace the Galaxy Note series.
Also, the South Korean tech giant is looking to unveil the S21 series by mid-January, which is earlier than Samsung’s usual schedule. The main motive is to maximize the sales of smartphones in response to Apple’s latest iPhone 12 which is also a 5G smartphone.

Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy reveals Samsung bold flagship redesign
Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy leak reveals the nearly final design of Samsung’s next big flagship. After CAD renders, we now have a closer look at the refined new design of the Ultra flagship, which will give sleepless nights to Apple.
Onleaks posted a set of Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy models. The flagship can be seen with its refined design, which makes the corner slightly rounded. The Z Fold6-inspired camera rings also elevate the rear panel’s appearance, making it appealing.

Samsung dreams new camera with longer battery, less noise
A new patent suggests Samsung working on next-gen camera tech that could save battery and crush lens process noise. The company has recently unveiled the All Lenses on Prism telephoto solution for thinner and sleeker zoom cameras.
Since smartphone camera modules get more advanced, a lot of processing power is required to finish the tasks. That said, Samsung is crafting even more advanced camera modules that save battery and reduce noise.
Enter Samsung’s new patent, which introduces a power-saving sub-processor. This clever little chip would handle all the extra camera tasks—like reducing noise from the OIS lens movements and managing the EIS algorithms.
It will reduce the burden of the main processor so it can focus on the actual photo-taking. At the time your device is in a sleep or power-saving state, the sub-processor keeps running quietly in the background, consuming minimal power.
If the technology is used, you will have less noise in camera operations, smoother performance, and better battery life. At the same time, you won’t lose your favorite camera features, but your smartphone will last longer between charges.
A look ahead
The development shows Samsung’s innovative approach. Other than upgrading camera sensors, the company is also working on improvements to the technology that works behind the scenes and makes a great impact on performance and efficiency.
Samsung often registers new patent applications to secure designs and innovations. However, it’s uncertain that a patented technology would surely be commercialized. Tech firms have thousands of approved patents that never get produced.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to feature impressive battery life with Snapdragon 8 Elite
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone is set to launch next year, which will likely offer big improvements in battery life with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The Galaxy S25 series phones will also bring amazing enhancements over the current S series models.
Qualcomm’s latest chip, Snapdragon 8 Elite, seems to be a powerhouse for future Android devices. Early tests of phones using this chip, like the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro and OnePlus 13, show that it can help devices last much longer on a single charge.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite promises a 27% improvement in power efficiency compared to previous models. This means phones using this chip don’t need as much battery power to run, which leads to longer battery life.
In tests, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro saw its battery life increase by nearly 30%, despite only having a slightly larger battery than the last model. The OnePlus 13 also showed a 42% improvement, lasting about 17.5 hours in a battery test, up from just 12.2 hours in the previous OnePlus 12 model.
These results suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Elite could bring big changes to battery performance in future smartphones, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It’s expected that users will be able to enjoy all-day use without needing to charge their phones as often.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely be performance-focused, especially with its advanced camera features and premium display. The long-lasting battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could make it a powerhouse, providing longer-time benefits of advanced performance.
