Samsung opens world-class AI, machine learning, and data engineering lab in India

On August 02, 2021, Samsung India has developed a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, mechanical, and data engineering lab at KLE Technological University in Karnataka in Hubballi, giving young Millennials and Gen Z students a great opportunity to research emerging technology areas and help find solutions to real-world problems.

This is the first step in its Samsung model in Karnataka. At the Samsung Student Ecosystem for Engineered Data (SEED) Lab, students and faculty members of KLE Tech will be working on collaborative research and development projects with senior engineers at the Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore (SRI-B) working in portable technology fields, recognition of speech and writing, and machine reading.

The Collaborative research projects will be open to third and fourth-year B.Tech and M.Tech and Ph.D. experts at KLE Tech. Students will also be encouraged to publish papers in collaboration with SRI-B engineers.

Samsung SEED Lab spreads over 3,000 sq. ft. and is equipped are things like a special dark room with lighting equipment to performing tests on multimedia in a variety of lighting environments, devices, and resources, image quality analysis tools, among others.

Engineers at Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore will provide mentorship to students to make them industry-ready.

It also has a backup infrastructure for storing, processing, and storing large data records. All students will receive certificates of contribution at the end of each project from SRI-B.

Samsung has been working with students at all Karnataka engineering colleges in various R&D projects in areas such as AI, ML, Internet of Things, and Connected Devices and 5G networks, as part of the popular student engagement program called Samsung PRISM. Among the successes over the past two years of this program are many students gaining patents in partnership with SRI-B engineers.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G smartphone can identify the September 2024 security update with version A546U1UES8CXH7 in the US. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.

With the new update, your phone’s performance gets enhanced as it fixes multiple security problems, including 1 critical and 43 high-level issues. Note that 1 of these issues was fixed before, and 1 doesn’t affect Galaxy phones.

Samsung is also adding 23 security fixes of its own, targeting components like My Files, Theme Center, One UI Home, Knox, and Dex. The update makes the smartphone more secure and reliable.

Samsung announced its first ring-style wearable in July this year. Now, Samsung launched the Galaxy Ring in Brazil, expanding the gadget to another market. The company has also started pre-orders that last until October 18.

The Galaxy Ring is available in three color options in Brazil. The available hues include Black Titanium, Silver Titanium, and Gold Titanium – and nine size options with a suggested retail price of R$ 3,499.
