One UI 4.0 by Samsung coming to Galaxy A71 in April 2022
The One UI 4.0 is Samsung’s new software system, based on Android 12 OS, made for Galaxy devices. Flagship Galaxy phones have already begun taking the experience of this new software, while the owners of mid-range and budget Galaxy phones are exploring when will they get the update.
Recently, a Galaxy A71 owner reached Samsung support, virtually, to know when will the company release a new software update as it has not received any since last three months. Following the user’s query, a Samsung representative disclosed some important information related to Android 12 update.
According to Samsung rep., the Galaxy A71 will get a major software update in April 2022, which will be the Android 12-based One UI 4.0. The rep. further said that the software development team is already working to provide new updates as soon as possible, therefore, please be patient.
Here’s what Samsung rep. replied
“We would like to inform you that Galaxy A71 will get Android 12 with One UI 4.0 on month of April 2022, however, our team is already working on the same to provide you update as soon as possible, so we request you to please be patient till any further notification.”

One UI 4 Features: Samsung’s Android 12 update brings a number of new features including a modified user interface with renewed icons and Material You theming system. In addition, the One UI 4.0 also improves all of the stock apps, adds more lock screen widgets, quick settings toggles to turn off the camera and mic access and more.
Galaxy A71
In February last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy A71, as the most expensive Galaxy A series smartphone. In addition to the promise for three generations of Android OS update support, this device features several powerful capabilities that impressively fascinated consumers.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A71 handset pre-equipped with Android 10-based One UI 2.x software system. Earlier this year, the company delivered the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update to this popular mid-range phone, and it’s now waiting for Android 12 features with One UI 4.0.

On November 30, the Korean phone maker has started to release the November 2021 security patch update to the Galaxy A71 smartphone users in several countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad & Tobago. Samsung brings huge energy-saving opportunity to New York
New York became the first US state to bring retail consumer rebates for appliances under the Inflation Reduction Act. Applauding the move, Samsung launched a huge energy-saving opportunity for the residents of New York.
Samsung started offering up-front discounts to consumers statewide through New York’s IRA HEAR program. Consumers can now access IRA’s Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program.

OpenAI eyes AI integration on Samsung phones like Apple Intelligence
Apple collaborated with OpenAI to power Apple Intelligence features. The ChatGPT maker continues to create obstacles for Google. In a recent move, OpenAI discussed a potential AI partnership with Samsung.
TheInformation (via Reuters) reported that OpenAI has recently discussed powering AI features on Samsung-made devices. It seems the ChatGPT-maker wishes an AI partnership with Samsung to expand its reach in multiple folds.
The company is considering developing a web browser to rival Google’s Chrome. OpenAI recently introduced its search engine called SearchGPT. It is available to limited users alongside internal testers and strategic partners.
Samsung x OpenAI
Samsung and Google’s close partnership doesn’t need any elaboration. The friendship isn’t limited to services, as both firms work across an ecosystem. However, it doesn’t stop Samsung from partnering with OpenAI in favor of better service.
As the AI phone market is growing rapidly, OpenAI may innovate further. Google doesn’t lag, but there’s still room for a potential alliance. Apple Intelligence-like features might be deployed on Galaxy phones after Samsung’s partnership.
