This is to introduce a new function in One UI 4 for users who are already using Reminder well.
Samsung Galaxy devices running the One UI 4.0 offer a category management function in the Reminders app, allowing users to manage and categorize tasks they want to remember or to-dos by type. Besides, you can also check the reminders on your PC by linking with Microsoft To-Do.
The One UI 4.0-based Reminders service is much more practical and convenient than the previous reminders because it can be organized more systematically and can be used on a PC. In addition, it brings a faster way to add reminders, however, the new Shared Reminder feature lets you share to-dos with family and friends.
- You can add a reminder by simply entering the title in the input box at the bottom of the first screen of the reminder.
Reminders – Shared Categories
The reminders that are added to shared categories can be shared with members as well. However, it’s a very simple task to create a shared category, you just have to click Add Category in the Manage Categories menu and enter a name for the shared category.
- Once done, select the person you want to share the reminder with from your contacts and invite them to become a member.
Now, if you add a reminder you want to share with a member in the shared category you have created, the member who accepted the invitation will also see the reminder in the shared category. To be noted, the Share feature is available on all Galaxy devices with Android 0 or later by logging in with your Samsung account.

WhatsApp rolling out Voice Message Transcripts feature for Android
WhatsApp has released a new feature named Voice Message Transcripts, which allows users to transcribe voice messages into text. This update, announced by Mark Zuckerberg, is now available in the latest WhatsApp for Android.
The voice message transcripts feature is a helpful tool for people who prefer reading over listening to messages, or for those in noisy places where listening to voice notes is difficult.
To use this feature, you just need to go to Settings >> Chats >> Voice Message Transcripts in the app and turn it on. WhatsApp may also ask you to enable the transcription feature when you receive a voice message.
Notably, the transcripts are created on your phone, not on WhatsApp’s servers. It means your voice messages and transcriptions are kept private and secure.
To start using voice message transcripts, you’ll need to download a language data package. At the moment, the feature supports English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Hindi. WhatsApp also plans to add more languages in the future. Once the transcriptions are done directly on your phone, you don’t need an internet connection to use the feature.
