Samsung Galaxy S20, Note 20 get December 2021 security patch in the US, Europe
December 2021 security patch rollout has begun for two Samsung flagship lines called Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20. The firmware updates are currently rolling out in several markets including the US (AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, and Verizon cellular) and Europe.
A few days back, the company confirmed that the most up-to-date security patch brings fixes for 5 critical, 22 high and 3 moderate CVEs from Google. At the same time, it includes fixes for 18 SVE items from Samsung for better security of Galaxy devices.

In addition to CVEs fixes from Google, Samsung has already patched 1 issue with the previous security release, while 3 of them are not applicable to Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series devices are eligible for Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update. Last month, Samsung confirmed that the older flagship smartphone lineups will start getting the major software update from January 2022.
