Breaking: Samsung resumes Galaxy S21 Android 12 One UI 4.0 update rollout!
On November 15, 2021, Samsung started rolling out the stable Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy S21 series devices. Following the announcement, the company had expanded this major software update widely to various regions across the planet.
Meanwhile, a severe Google Play-related bug forced Samsung to suspend the One UI 4.0 update release to the Galaxy S21 series, for a few days. Now, according to the latest news, the Korean tech giant has recently pushed a new firmware update to the Galaxy S21 line running Android 12-based One UI 4.0.

Aside from this, Samsung has also released a new software update to Galaxy S21 series smartphones in South Korea. Meanwhile, it comes with improvements for the system performance as well as increases the applications’ stability for a better overall user experience.

Previously, it’s reported that the company had found compatibility issues with the Google Play system on some Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 devices. Going ahead, a few days back, a community moderator confirmed that a new One UI 4.0 s/w is under preparation, which includes a patch from Google as well.

This update is already out for locked models in the US and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
The latest update improves performance by fixing a bunch of security issues. It fixes 1 critical and 43 high-level security issues. It’s worth noting that 1 CVE was fixed in earlier updates and 1 does not affect Galaxy devices.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 are getting the September 2024 security update in Canada with One UI build version F741WVLS1AXHC. They have to download a 426MB package to install the update. This update is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1.
To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
Aside from this, Samsung has also started the One UI 6.1.1 rollout for older Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S24 series has started getting the major One UI 6.1 update with the September 2024 security patch. The company will start rolling out this major update to Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 from next week.
September 2024 security update rolling out to Galaxy Z Flip 6

August 2024 security update fixes over 45 security issues, including 1 critical and 34 high-level vulnerabilities from Google. Notably, 1 CVE was previously resolved in earlier updates, and 2 CVEs are not applicable to Galaxy devices.
Moreover, the update contains fixes for 14 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) specific to Samsung devices and apps. This includes improvements to system services, Knox services, Galaxy Watch, and other related components.
The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some hours or days to reach to reach all models. Samsung advises users to check and install the update to enjoy enhanced features.
